Who it's for
Best for intermediate players (3.5-4.5) looking for a balanced upgrade who play with a balanced two-handed/one-handed mix. The elongated shape extends your reach at the kitchen line, the 15.2mm core balances pop and control, and the face surface keeps spin honest without overdoing it.
Should you buy the Engage Pursuit Pro MX?
Best for
3.5-4.0 doubles players with developing hands; balanced 15.2mm elongated, power-and-control value over specialization.
Who should buy the Pursuit Pro MX
Buy it if you're a solid 3.5-4.0 player who wants genuine power-and-control value without spending $200. The 15.2mm elongated frame plays softer than most thin-core power paddles while hitting hard - reviewers rate its power alongside paddles costing far more - and the carbon face grips for spin. A lot of paddle for the dollar.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you're a true beginner or a committed specialist. There's no oversized sweet spot and the extra pop is hard to control, so lower-level players will struggle with it. And a 4.5 spin assassin or dedicated control player will out-grow the all-rounder tuning - the thin Pursuit Pro1 is the sharper spin tool.
The main tradeoff
Real power at a value price, but the pop comes without a forgiving sweet spot - it demands hands. It's a genuinely good all-rounder, yet a committed banger or dinker will eventually want a paddle built for their one shot.
Is it worth it?
At $119.99 it overdelivers - flagship-adjacent power and feel for a mid-tier price. One of the best dollar-for-performance picks in the catalog for a solid 3.5-4.0 who wants more pop than a beginner paddle and has the hands to control it.
