We built a smarter way to find your perfect pickleball paddle — because “just Google it” wasn't cutting it.
How it started
I got in to pickleball the way most people do: show up at a local park looking to play with pickleball's inclusive and welcoming community. I was hooked. Then came the question everyone eventually asks: which paddle should I actually buy?
What followed was two weeks of spreadsheet comparisons, Reddit deep-dives, YouTube rabbit holes, and conflicting reviews that somehow made the decision harder with every hour spent. Swing weight vs. static weight. Grit vs. raw carbon. Edgeless vs. edge guard. A few hundred dollars later, it still felt like a guess.
That frustration is what became PickleSwaps. The goal was simple: build something that asks the right questions — how you play, what you're willing to spend, what matters most in a paddle — and gives you a real answer instead of a listicle.
Meet Pickle
Pickle is our AI guide and mascot. Pickle has virtually played on every court type, digitally tested every spec, and pored over more paddle data than any human should reasonably have to. Pickle doesn't have a sponsorship deal, doesn't get free gear, and doesn't care about brand loyalty.
