Affiliate Disclosure
Effective Date: May 7, 2026
Last Updated: May 7, 2026
Hey, Pickle here. The short version: when you click a buy button on pickleswaps.com and end up purchasing a paddle, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it's part of how we keep the lights on while staying free to use.
Below is exactly how it works, who pays us, and why we still tell you the truth about every paddle.
1. Who We Are
PickleSwaps is an editorial pickleball-paddle catalog and recommendation site operated by Merwin Moss. We catalog hundreds of paddles, publish brand guides and comparisons, and run an AI-driven paddle selector to help players find a paddle that fits their game.
2. Our Affiliate Relationships
PickleSwaps participates in affiliate programs with retailers and paddle brands. When you click a link on our site and make a qualifying purchase on the partner's site, we may receive a commission. As of the date above, our active affiliate relationships include:
- Amazon Associates — As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Onix Pickleball (via Social Snowball)
- Vatic Pro (via UpPromote)
- 11SIX24 (via UpPromote)
- Volair (via Refersion)
This list is updated as programs are added or removed. If a paddle on our site has no recognized affiliate relationship, we do not show a buy button for it — we'd rather leave the slot empty than send you through an untracked link.
3. No Extra Cost to You
Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer or brand out of their normal margin. The price you pay is the same price you would pay if you went to the retailer directly. You are never charged extra for using our links.
4. Editorial Independence
Our recommendations are not pay-to-play. Brands cannot buy a higher ranking, a better review, or a featured slot on PickleSwaps. We catalog paddles whether or not they have an affiliate program — and when we have something critical to say about a paddle, we say it, regardless of whether that paddle earns us a commission.
Specifically:
- The AI paddle selector ranks paddles on fit to the player's profile, not commission rate.
- USA Pickleball approval status is reported as it is, including pending or delisted paddles.
- Specs and prices are checked against the manufacturer's product page, not affiliate copy.
- If we recommend against a paddle, we do so even when the brand is one of our affiliate partners.
5. FTC Compliance
This disclosure is published in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), which require a clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections — including affiliate relationships — between an endorser and an advertiser. Individual articles and paddle pages may also include an inline disclosure where affiliate links appear.
6. Questions
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships, our editorial process, or anything else on the site, you can reach us via the About page.
